The Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into an alleged aggravated robbery Wednesday night at a residence in the 600 block of Texas 95.

A man at the residence told investigators that three people were involved in stealing a generator from him and then fleeing in a vehicle north on the highway, according to a spokesperson with the Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m.

At one point a Bastrop County dispatcher could be heard over a police scanner telling responding deputies, “…All I got was, somebody is stealing his generator and they attacked him.” The resident reported that the suspects were two black males and a white female with red hair. Also heard on the police scanner was the alert: “Be on the lookout for a Silver Hyundai.”

The man reportedly scuffled with the robbers before they fled, but was not injured. He also told investigators that he knows one of the alleged thieves. No arrests had been made as of noon Thursday as investigators were continuing to follow leads.
